The Film Society will function, as Film Arts Foundation has, as a coalition and community builder offering advice, referrals, networking, mentoring and professional development across a range of areas and a variety of means.

Crucial to these efforts will be the various craft-based, small-group workshops and seminars with visiting American independent and international filmmakers, beginning in early October.

We will also be launching a new monthly SFFS Film Arts Forum, slated to begin in November 2008. This large-scale event will draw on the active participation of various film industry professionals and will include multiple screening, networking and professional development opportunities under one roof.

Complete information on these and other SFFS programs will be announced at the SFFS Fall 2008 Members Night, to be held in late September.
